Hi everyone!
I have just set up a fundraising link as Sophie and I have now started training for our fundraising run 31st May 2010. If you would like to sponsor us I have set a fundraising page or there is a link via my facebook page if you would like to add me as a friend - it's Liz Buckley ( *my profile pic is 2 little girls which are me and my twin aged about 7!*) and the fundraising link is...

*My facebook profile pic has changed and is now is a pic of me as a baby*

Thank you everyone! :)
We've signed up to collect from now and up to three months after the run takes place (= May 31st) so plenty of time.
My friend had problems on the page but hope that's fixed now..... Sophie has lots of school aged friends without debit cards so need to use some good old fashioned sponsor forms too...
We were able to choose our estimated times so have factored in plenty of extra time for rests!! Training today by walking to the next village - no shop in ours! Then perhaps wii fit tomorrow or later....
i'm thinking about sending out facebook status reminders around paydays!
& we should start a blog.... might need some advice on that perhaps..... ;)

Well... still hoping to raise lots of money....! :) :)
....think i may need to learn how to "blog"
and its definitely the wrong time of year at the moment for asking for money - after the christmas slump! :(
BUT We are training ThumpUp - and going to make some transport / accomodation arrangements for London soon :)
I thought i would contact local paper for an article around about Mother's Day as Sophie is doing it with me, could have a nice piece and raise awareness (and more funds!!) locally ...
...put some info in a school newsletter in the spring....
...going to ask for donations in lieu of pressies for my birthday in May...

If you don't mind - please can you pass on our details at your local groups

Thank you ~ Liz xxxxx

Thanks Julie,
i have emailed the team at virgin moneygiving to ask for advice as another friend has had similar problems...
It's all very new to me Confused
Like you, i've had problems before when ive been donating - for me it was with "justgiving" i had problems with but it worked eventually after asking for help but i dont want to put peeps off by making it tricky so hope the team can sort it out pronto!
I will let you know what they advise...
Thanks again - watch this space!
lots of love from Liz (and Sophie)
